The Bharatiya Janata Party's chief Amit Shah released a "charge sheet" against the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal on Tuesday, accusing the party of using "appeasement and vote-bank politics" to rule the state for 15 years, the Hindustan Times reports. The charge sheet accuses Mamata Banerjee's government of failing to provide land for border fencing, allowing illegal immigrants to cross the border, and failing to purify the rolls of voters. "For the last 15 years the rule of fear, corruption, and appeasement politics has been going on in the state," Shah said. "The Bengal election is important not only for the state but for the entire country. The security of the country is, in a way, linked to the Bengal election,” he said. He said the security of the Siliguri corridor was being endangered "because of the TMC government's appeasement Politics.".
