The prohibitory orders under the BNS section 163 issued by the Gumla sub-divisional officer will be in effect from January 30 till February 15. Carrying of licensed weapons, firearms or explosive material has also been prohibited in the restricted area. More than 25 people have been killed in elephant attacks in the state since January 1 this year, another forest official said. The DFO said Bharno area is a tri-junction of three districts β Ranchi, Gumla and Lohardaga.
