Panda described Patnaik as a “towering personality" and “one of the greatest patriots of modern Bharat" The BJD has accused the Congress of disrespecting Odisha. The Congress has denied the allegations, saying the allegations are politically motivated. The BJD have called on the Congress to apologise to the people of Odisha for their actions. The Congress says the allegations are false and that they are trying to protect the interests of the state. The election will be held on November 28.
