A court in India has refused to shift an accused in a terror case from jail to a private hospital, the Hindustan Times reports. According to the Times of India, former Popular Front of India (PFI) chief E Abubacker has been in custody since September 2022. He was arrested in connection with the UAPA case. Abubacker is accused of belonging to a terror group. He's currently being held on charges of espionage and money laundering. In a petition filed by Abubacker, he claims his experience at AIIMS has been "disastrous." Abubacker says he's been suffering from cough, weakness, and fluctuating blood sugar and blood pressure. The Delhi High Court refused to shift Abubacker to a private facility and ordered jail authorities to provide him with all necessary medical treatment.
