NASA is sending four astronauts to the moon for the first time since the last Apollo mission in 1972. The Artemis II mission is expected to last about 10 days, sending four astronauts on a high-speed journey around the moon and back, the Telegraph reports. It is the first crewed lunar mission since the Apollo era. Artemis II is designed to pave the way for future missions aimed at returning astronauts to the lunar surface later this decade. The crew will live inside a cabin about the size of a large van. They will monitor radiation levels, as they will be outside the protective bubble of Earth’s magnetic field. At their furthest point, the crew will be 10,300 miles beyond the moon.
