An actor-turned-politician is running for office in Tamil Nadu, and he's using a spear-like weapon as his campaign symbol. The Hindu reports that Vijay, the head of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party, launched his election campaign in Chennai on Monday. He accused the state's chief minister, M K Stalin, of corruption in the state-run liquor corporation and in the municipal administration. He also accused the DMK of a cash-for-jobs scam. The TVK is promising young people collateral-free and interest-free education loans.
